Thuringerberg is one of these communities, the others are Blons, Fontanella-Faschina, Raggal-Marul, Sonntag-Buchboden and St. Gerold. They share with them a beautiful mountain world, in which you can hike and climb, which turns into a romantic sports paradise in winter, where you can eat in alpine huts and in which you can even splash in torrents. Overall, the uniqueness and the worthiness of protection of this landscape was recognized by UNESCO at the turn of the millennium. In the year 2000 she finally named the Große Walsertal as a biosphere park.
